- site Dorset County Museum, Dorchester

- desc Card index to accessioned objects made by Col. Drew while Curator:
Only the following found under acc.nos 0.nnn.*: six spindle-whorls of
uncertain date, four of limestone and two of chalk; and
two small `mortars'.
In particular no entry was found for the
Arish Mell mortar and it is
clear that the acc.no on the latter's display label is incorrect;
0.231.1 belongs to a ground stone axe-head.
- desc Have also searched acc.nos. 1840--1980.25,
which appears to be the full extent of the index. (2010-06-25)
